Arctic Paper estimates approx. PLN 150-170 mln in CAPEX in 2026

Listed packaging manufacturer Arctic Paper's capital expenditure in 2026 is expected to amount to approximately PLN 150-170 million (EUR 35.2-39.9 mln), CEO Michał Jarczynski announced at a press conference. The management has also indicated that 2025 will be the last year of intensive spending for the company.

"In 2026, according to our preliminary estimates, capital expenditure should amount to approximately PLN 150-170 million, so (...) this is a very large reduction," CEO Jarczynski told the conference.

He pointed out that Arctic Paper's capital expenditure in 2025 should reach a maximum of PLN 300 million (EUR 70.4 mln) in all segments of activity.

Katarzyna Wojtkowiak, member of the management board and CFO of Arctic Paper, announced that 2025 will be the last year of such intensive spending and large investments for the company.

"From next year, we plan to suspend new investments, mainly to increase our cash reserves, which should improve our dividend capacity in the future. Once the situation stabilises and we know more, we will consider further investment projects," she added.

The company announced that the efficiency improvement plan will bring annual savings of PLN 45-50 million (EUR 10.6-11.7 mln) starting in 2026, and working capital optimisation will improve cash flow by PLN 35 million (EUR 8.2 mln).

CFO Wojtkowiak announced that the company is suspending energy projects for customers outside the segment.

"We are focusing solely on energy efficiency and projects dedicated to us, and I think that for at least the next two years, we will not be considering any projects, let's call them commercial energy projects and energy dedicated to customers outside the segment," she added.

In the second quarter of 2025, Arctic Paper reported a net loss of PLN 75 million (EUR 17.6 mln) against a profit of PLN 24.2 million (EUR 5.7 mln) in the prior year period.

Consolidated sales revenue amounted to PLN 833.5 million (EUR 195.54 mln) versus PLN 839.2 million (EUR 196.9 mln) a year earlier.

Adjusted EBITDA in the second quarter fell to PLN 0.01 million (EUR 2,346) against PLN 70.4 million (EUR 16.5 mln) in the prior year period and EBIT was minus PLN 88.5 million (minus EUR 20.8 mln), down from PLN 41.8 million (EUR 9.8 mln) in the previous year.
