Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SABank Handlowy obtains permission from the Polish financial watchdog to acquire its own shares
Bank Handlowy has received a decision from Poland's financial market regulator KNF granting the bank permission to acquire its own shares by February 27, 2027, in a number not exceeding 285,000 shares, for a total price not exceeding PLN 30 million (EUR 7.1 million), the bank announced in a market filing.
The shares will be acquired in order to be offered by the bank to persons whose professional activities have a significant impact on the bank's risk profile and to selected bank employees who do not have a significant impact on the bank's risk profile.
It was stated that the purpose of the acquisition of own shares is to fulfil obligations arising from share option programmes or other allocation of shares to employees or members of the bank's administrative, management or supervisory bodies.
