Bank Pekao SABank Pekao demands repayment of PLN 3.952 bln in liabilities from Grupa Azoty Polyolefins
Listed lender Pekao, acting as a credit agent, has announced that it has called in the liabilities of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins, subsidiary of listed chemicals group Azoty, under a preferential loan agreement - term, working capital and VAT loans dated May 31, 2020, with an estimated value of PLN 3.952 billion (EUR 936.6 mln), the Azoty group announced in a market filing.
As of January 23, 2026, all loans, together with accrued interest and all other amounts accrued or outstanding on the basis of financial documents (including outstanding liabilities) will be considered due and payable, Azoty announced.
By January 23, 2026, Pekao demands repayment from Grupa Azoty Polyolefins of all the company's financial liabilities under the loan agreement, without additional notice.
The amounts of the above due liabilities are in various currencies, with their estimated total value of PLN 3.952 billion.
The loans whose repayment Bank Pekao is demanding from Grupa Azoty Polyolefins relate to the Polimery Police project implemented under a project finance formula.
