Poland's state development bank BGK has granted PLN 239.079 billion (EUR 57.2 bln) in guarantees under the state programme of de minimis credit guarantees by the end of February 2025, up by PLN 2.23 billion (EUR 533.9 mln) from PLN 236.849 billion (EUR 56.9 bln) in January, BGK's data showed.
The guarantees translated into PLN 370.029 billion (EUR 88.7 bln) loans issued to companies.
As BGK reported, 295,454 companies have taken out loans within the programme since its launch in March 2013.
The 'de minimis' programme is aimed at providing co-guarantees for loans for small- and medium-sized enterprises, taking some of the risk burden away from the commercial banks. It has been operating since 2013.
