Dino Polska SADino grocer posts PLN 1.5 bln net profit in 2024, in line with estimates
Listed retailer Dino Polska posted PLN 1.908 billion (EUR 444 mln) of operating profit and PLN 1.505 billion (EUR 350.2 mln) of net profit in 2024, the group said in its annual report. The results are in line with earlier estimates.
In 2024, the company had EBITDA of nearly PLN 2.32 billion (EUR 539.86 mln). The EBITDA margin fell to 7.9 percent from 8.7 percent in 2023.
Dino Polska's revenue increased 14.1 percent year-on-year. The company reported that the increase was primarily the result of an increase in the scale of the group's operations mainly through an 11.7 percent increase in the number of shops and a 5.3 percent increase in sales revenue from existing shops (LfL).
The operating profit margin decreased from 7.3 percent in 2023 to 6.5 percent in 2024. The company's profitability in 2024 was adversely affected by the deflation of net prices of products offered in Dino shops and a significant increase in operating costs, in particular employee benefit costs.
At the end of 2024, there were 2,688 Dino shops in Poland.
