Dino Polska SADino retailer decides to begin construction of new distribution centre
Listed retail store chain Dino Polska has decided to begin construction of a new distribution centre in Zawiercie, in the Silesian region, the company announced in a market filing on Thursday. The estimated investment costs will amount to approximately PLN 150 million (EUR 35.1 mln) net and will be financed from the company’s own funds.
According to the market filing, the company expects the investment to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
"The project will involve the comprehensive construction and fitting out of a distribution centre, which will include, amongst other things: a deep-freeze facility, a cold store, temperature-controlled warehouses, a dry warehouse, and staff and office facilities, together with the associated technical infrastructure, internal roads and parking spaces," Dino has announced.
The distribution centre will be equipped with solutions to minimise its environmental impact, including a 1MW photovoltaic system, heat recovery systems from refrigeration units used to heat premises and domestic water, and refrigeration systems using natural CO2 as a refrigerant, the company added.
The planned total warehouse space of the distribution centre will be approx. 45,000 square metres.
