Enea SAEnea power increases EU funding under national recovery plan to nearly PLN 10 bln
Listed power utility Enea has signed an annex to its loan agreement with Poland's state development bank BGK, increasing the amount of EU financing under the national recovery plan KPO from PLN 9.13 billion (EUR 2.14 bln) to nearly PLN 10 billion (EUR 2.34 bln), the group said in a press release. The funds will be used to expand and modernise the group's power infrastructure.
The loan agreement between Enea and BGK was signed in May 2025.
As announced, thanks to the funds obtained, Enea Operator – a distribution company belonging to the Enea group – will be able to accelerate projects related to network automation, the construction and modernisation of transformer stations, the implementation of modern IT solutions and increasing the capacity to connect renewable energy sources.
The financing will be made available in tranches between 2025 and 2036 and will bear interest at a fixed rate of 0.5 percent per annum. The principal will be repaid in semi-annual instalments, and the final repayment date has been set for May 20, 2050.
