KGHM Polska Miedź SAKGHM copper plans to unveil new strategy at end-Q2
Listed copper producer KGHM plans to unveil its new strategy at the end of the second quarter, the company’s CEO Remigiusz Paszkiewicz announced.
"We intend to present our new strategy at the end of the second quarter. Work on it has essentially been completed, and certain final details have already been properly addressed," said CEO Remigiusz Paszkiewicz during a press conference on Thursday.
"The basis for the final touches to the strategy is our experience from 2025 and early 2026," he noted, adding that the company wants to strengthen several of its subsidiaries to better utilise their growth potential in Poland.
In 2025, the KGHM group recorded revenue of PLN 36.37 billion, compared with PLN 35.32 billion the previous year.
Adjusted EBITDA rose in 2025 to PLN 10.276 billion from PLN 8.457 billion a year earlier. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company amounted to PLN 3.687 billion, compared with PLN 2.868 billion a year earlier.
At the end of the fourth quarter, the KGHM group’s net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA ratio stood at 0.76x, compared with 0.81x at the end of December 2024.
The KGHM Group’s capital expenditure (CAPEX) amounted to PLN 3.9 billion, down 0.2 percent on 2024. As the company reported, the priority was on investments within the Main Production Line. Expenditure in the mining sector reached PLN 3.0 billion. Investments in the smelting sector amounted to PLN 723 million.
In the area of overseas assets, the company carried out, among other things, activities related to the expansion of the Victoria mine in Canada.
