Enea SAPoland focuses on local content in second phase of offshore wind farm development
In the first phase of offshore wind farm development in the Baltic Sea, many contracts were already signed, but in the second phase local content will be strictly monitored, said Deputy Minister of State Assets Robert Kropiwnicki during the "Energy from Poland - Local First" forum. He added that the government plans to influence local content through national energy documents.
"At this time, we do not plan a special sectoral document; we plan to address this in national energy documents and create all relevant indicators there. This is extremely important to us," Kropiwnicki said.
He emphasized that efforts will focus on the second phase of the Baltic offshore wind farm development.
"We had already contracted a lot in the first phase, so there was little room to act when we started, but in the second phase we will rigorously ensure that local products are seriously taken into account," the MAP deputy head announced.
He stressed the importance of support mechanisms and financial guarantee systems to ensure domestic companies are not afraid of contracts and that financing is not a barrier.
In the first development phase, the contribution of domestic companies amounted to about 21 percent.
