Poland's entertainment and media market to exceed PLN 68 bln in 2025
The value of the Polish entertainment and media market will amount to PLN 68.5 billion (EUR 16.1 bln) in 2025, according to the ‘Global Entertainment & Media Outlook 2025-2029’ report prepared by consulting company PwC.
Revenues from Internet access maintained their position as the largest sector in the Polish Entertainment & Media (E&M) market, reaching PLN 26.7 billion (EUR 6.3 bln), up 1 percent year on year.
As mentioned, traditional television is second in terms of revenue, with PLN 11.5 billion (EUR 2.7 bln), and online advertising is third, with PLN 11.1 billion (EUR 2.6 bln) in revenue.
The average revenue growth rate for the Polish entertainment and media industry will be 2.9 percent per year, and for online advertising – 8.8 percent (the highest average growth rate on the Polish E&M market).
"In 2025, global entertainment and media industry revenues will exceed USD 3 trillion, representing a 6.8 percent increase compared to 2024. Poland remains the regional leader, with growth of 2.9 percent, which is a slight slowdown compared to last year," said Marcin Sidelnik, partner at PwC Poland, quoted in the report.
"Traditional television maintains a strong position, but competition is developing on the horizon in the form of Advertising VOD – a cheaper form of using streaming services with advertisements, with an average annual revenue growth of 17.7 percent between 2025 and 2029. Time will tell whether this solution will herald a real change," he added.
