Poland's hard coal share in energy output down to 37.99 pct in April - grid operator
In April 2025, the percentage share of hard coal in Poland's total power generation decreased to 37.99 percent from 40.26 percent in the prior year period, according to data by Poland's grid operator PSE.
Lignite-based power plants supplied 19.04 percent of total generation in April, down from 20.07 percent in the prior year period.
Gas-fired power plants supplied 11.58 percent of energy against 8.40 percent recorded a year ago.
Wind power plants supplied 13.17 percent of energy, down from 15.95 percent in April 2024.
Hydropower plants provided 1.77 percent of energy against 2.55 percent in the prior year period.
Renewable sources other than hydro and wind provided 16.45 percent of all energy in April this year, up from 12.77 percent in the prior year period.
