Polish banks' contributions to Bank Guarantee Fund set at PLN 2.7 bln in 2025
The total level of Polish lenders' contributions to the Bank Guarantee Fund (BFG) in 2025 has been set at PLN 2.7 billion (EUR 646.1 mln), including PLN 893 million (EUR 213.7 mln) for the lenders' guarantee fund, BFG announced in a press statement.
As BFG pointed out, for the past two years, contributions to the banks' guarantee fund have not been collected.
In 2024, as an effect of the dynamic growth of guaranteed funds, the level of collateral for the funds of the deposit guarantee scheme in banks has fallen below the target level of 1.6 percent of the amount of funds guaranteed in banks.
This, as BFG explained, dictates that BFG should return to collecting contributions to this fund.
