Mirbud SATorpol-Mirbud appeal Poland's national appeal chamber ruling on Rail Baltica tender
Listed builders Torpol and Mirbud consortium is demanding a change to the ruling of Poland's national appeal chamber KIO concerning the PKP PLK tender for the reconstruction of the Rail Baltica railway line, Mirbud announced in a press release.
The company stated that despite announcing that it had won the PKP PLK tender for the reconstruction of the Rail Baltica railway line, Poland's national appeal chamber KIO had overturned this decision.
In their appeal to the Regional Court in Warsaw, Torpol and Mirbud are demanding that the national appeal chamber's ruling be changed and that the appeal against the consortium be dismissed in its entirety.
"The reason? The omission of information about an environmental penalty of PLN 15,000 in the submitted documents. This, in turn, was time-barred at the time of the decision on the tender worth nearly PLN 5 billion. In addition, the penalty in question was not related to a violation of obligations under environmental law, so there was no reason for Mirbud and Torpol to be excluded from the tender," the statement said.
The structured KIO is under the Polish Public Procurement Office.
