Listed TMT group Cyfrowy Polsat's shareholder, TiVi Foundation, dismissed Miroslaw Blaszczyk from the position of company's CEO, appointing Andrzej Abramczuk in his place, Cyfrowy Polsat announced in a market filing. The shareholder has also dismissed Zygmunt Solorz from the supervisory boards of group's companies, replacing him with Daniel Kaczorowski.
Andrzej Abramczuk has also been appointed as CEO of Polkomtel, Plus mobile network operator.
Daniel Kaczorowski, appointed as a chairman of Cyfrowy Polsat's supervisory board, will also replace Zygmunt Solorz in the position of supervisory boards' chairman at Polkomtel, Netia and Telewizja Polsat.
Solorz, as the founder of the telecom giant, had been head of the supervisory board since 2008 with a five-year break between 2016 and 2021.
Andrzej Abramczuk served as chairman of one of Poland's largest telco operators - Netia - since August 18, 2018.
Daniel Kaczorowski is a legal advisor and has over 25 years of experience in international law firms, mostly as a partner or associate. His practice includes both public and private market transactions.
In the press release, TiVi Foundation indicated that the primary goal of the above changes was to improve the supervision over the Foundation's key companies.
"The board underscores that the Foundation's cornerstone obligation is to protect its assets, and the above changes were indispensable to properly discharge said obligation," TiVi Foundation stated in the press release.
It added that the Foundation's board was to continue to monitor the situation and take additional decisions when necessary.
