Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SAUPDATE: Polish financial watchdog gives Bank Handlowy green light for 2025 dividend payout at 75 pct of profit
Bank Handlowy, the Warsaw-listed unit of Citigroup has received an individual recommendation from Poland's financial market regulator KNF regarding its dividend policy, stating that the bank meets the requirements to pay a dividend of up to 75 pct of its profit for 2025, with the maximum payout amount not exceeding the annual profit less the profit generated in 2025 already included in own funds, Bank Handlowy said in a market filing.
"At the same time, the KNF recommends that the bank limit the risk associated with its activities by refraining from undertaking, without prior consultation with the supervisory authority, other activities, in particular those outside the scope of its current business and operational activities, which could result in a reduction in own funds, including possible dividend payments from retained earnings from previous years and repurchases or buybacks of own shares," the bank said.
