ING Bank Śląski SAUPDATE: Polish financial watchdog gives ING BSK green light for 2025 dividend payout at 75 pct of profit
Listed lender ING BSK has received an individual recommendation from Poland's financial market regulator KNF regarding its dividend policy, stating that the bank meets the requirements to pay a dividend of up to 75 pct of its profit for 2025, with the maximum payout amount not exceeding the annual profit less the profit generated in 2025 already included in own funds, the bank said in a market filing.
It was reported that bank did not include profits in its own funds in 2025, therefore the maximum amount of dividends from the 2025 profit for the Bank is 75 percent.
"At the same time, the KNF recommended limiting the risk associated with the bank's operations by not undertaking, without prior consultation with the supervisory authority, other activities, in particular those outside the scope of current business and operational activities, which could result in a reduction in own funds, including possible payments of dividends from retained earnings from previous years and repurchases or buybacks of own shares," the bank said.
It was indicated that, in accordance with the February announcement, the bank's management board intends to recommend that the general meeting adopt a resolution to allocate approximately 75 pct of the bank's standalone profit for 2025 to the payment of dividends.
"The intention of the bank's management board is in line with the recommendation received from the KNF," it added.
