October sees moderate rise in EUA allowances prices - KOBIZE
October brought moderate increases in EUA allowance prices, according to a report by the emission management authority KOBIZE.
"October 2025 in the EUA market was marked by moderate price growth, with quotations remaining within a relatively narrow range of EUR 76–79.5. However, the EUR 80 level proved to be an insurmountable barrier for buyers," the report stated.
The authors noted that allowance prices ended the month at relatively high levels, with the main pro-growth factor being record positions in the futures market held by investment funds.
The October price increase followed the usual seasonal pattern. In October 2025, EUA prices rose by approximately 4 percent, while the average price change for this month in previous years (2013–2024) was around 1 percent.
