Poland secures PLN 830 mln from KPO for data centres and PLN 2 bln for SME digitalization
Poland's Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy secured PLN 830 million (EUR 194.2 mln) from the national recovery plan KPO to build three data processing centres. Additionally, PLN 2 billion (EUR 468 mln) will support the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Jan Szyszko wrote on platform X.
"Another successful negotiation regarding national recovery plan KPO, this time with Dariusz Standerski (Deputy Minister), focuses on digitalization. We will finance the construction of three Polish data processing centres on better terms. This is a strategic investment for the Ministry of Digital Affairs that will ensure the safety of Polish data and state registers. We have at least PLN 830 million for this," Szyszko stated.
"We will also change the rules for supporting the digitalization of companies to ensure it reaches Polish SMEs. They are digitalizing the fastest in Europe but need funds for their investments. We have over PLN 2 billion for this in KPO," he added.
On Monday, the Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy announced that his ministry, in cooperation with entities such as the National Center for Research and Development NCBiR, plans to allocate approximately PLN 4.5 billion (EUR 1.1 bln) for the development of Polish digitalization in 2025 through support programs and European funds.
