Poland sees current and future consumer sentiment improving in June - stats office
June has seen a month-on-month improvement in Poland's both current and future consumer sentiment, Poland's stats office GUS reported.
The current consumer confidence index BWUK, which synthetically describes current trends in individual consumption, stood at minus 9.3, up 5.2 percentage point month on month.
In relation to June 2024, the current BWUK is 2.7 percentage points higher.
The leading indicator of consumer confidence WWUK, which synthesises the expected trends of private consumption in the coming months, has increased by 4.3 percentage points month on month to minus 4.6.
In the prior year period, WWUK was 3.7 percentage points lower.
