Poland's manufacturing industry climate deteriorates again in February - researcher
Polish manufacturing industry climate deteriorated again in February by 8.7 points year on year and by 1.1 points month on month to minus 6.5, according to a survey conducted by the Institute of Economic Development of the Warsaw School of Economics (IRG SGH). The downturn was recorded only in the public sector.
"In February, similarly to January, the manufacturing industry climate deteriorated. The IRG SGH index (IRGIND) fell again by 1.1 points, amounting to minus 6.5. On an annual basis, the index fell by 8.7 points," the researcher said in the report.
"The downturn was recorded only in the public sector," it added.
The authors of the survey pointed out that predictions for the near future are rather optimistic, with private companies being more optimistic.
