Poland's MinFin carries out no work on c. bank mandatory reserves taxation
Poland's Ministry of Finance is not currently working on a solution regarding the taxation of mandatory reserves held at the National Bank of Poland (NBP), the ministry announced on X.
"The Ministry of Finance is not currently working on the previously considered solution relating to the taxation of mandatory reserves held at the National Bank of Poland," the ministry wrote.
At the end of June, Poland's minister of finance and economy Andrzej Domanski announced that the ministry was working on a tax on interest on reserves held by banks at the NBP.
According to Domanski, the estimated revenue was to amount to PLN 1.5-2.0 billion (EUR 352.8-470.4 mln).
