Poland's number of employed down 0.8 pct to 15 mln at end-May 2025 - stats office
Poland saw the number of people employed in the national economy falling by 0.8 percent year on year and by 0.5 percent in monthly terms to 15,000,500 at the end of May, the stats office GUS reported.
GUS reported that the average age of an employed person was 43 years (up from 42.8 at the end of May 2024, unchanged on a month-on-month basis).
As of May 31, 2025, the largest number of employed in the national economy (2,741,700), i.e. 18.3 percent of the total number of employees, was concentrated in industrial manufacturing.
