Poland's President draft bill on Cutting-edge Technology Fund to be financed from budget with minimum of PLN 5 bln per year
The draft bill submitted by Poland's President Karol Nawrocki on the establishment of the Cutting-edge Technology Development Fund (FRTP) provides for its financing from the budget with a minimum of PLN 5 billion (EUR 1.2 bln) per year, and this amount is to be indexed to last year's inflation, according to the explanatory memorandum to the draft bill submitted to the lower house of parliament Sejm.
The establishment of the Cutting-edge Technology Development Fund was one of the points in Nawrocki's programme during the election campaign before the last presidential elections.
The Fund is to be divided into five sub-funds: research and development, cyber security, modern administration, support for an innovative economy, and education and promotion.
