Poland's manufacturing industry climate worsens in July - researcher

Poland's manufacturing industry climate deteriorated in July but only in the private sector, while the outlook for the coming months is optimistic. according to a survey conducted by the Institute of Economic Development of the Warsaw School of Economics (IRG SGH).


The IRG SGH Business Climate Indicator (IRGIND) decreased by 2.7 points to minus 3.1. Over the course of the year, the index has decreased by 0.9 points.

According to the researcher, the economic downturn was observed in both the private and public sector.

The index value for the private sector is minus 5.4 points, down 2.0 points during the month and 2.1 points lower than a year ago.

The index for the public sector decreased by 1.4 points to 15.3 points, up 5.0 points year on year.
