Polish zloty exchange rate acceptable for Poland's economy - c. bank governor
The current exchange rate of the Polish zloty is acceptable for the economy, Poland's central bank NBP governor Adam Glapinski told a press conference following a Monetary Policy Council's decision on interest rates made on Thursday.
"The current exchange rate is acceptable for Poland's economy. It fits within the range of what the economy, exporters, entrepreneurs and importers are able to accept," Glapinski said.
"The high exchange rate is viewed well because it has anti-inflationary effects, although the impact is rather little," he added.
