Alior Bank SAAlior Bank expects costs of risk to amount to around 0.65 percent in 2024
Alior Bank expects that, including non-cyclical events in the first half of 2024, the cost of risk for the whole of 2024 will be around 0.65 percent, the bank announced on Friday.
"We expect that, taking into account non-cyclical events in the first half of 2024, Alior Bank's cost of risk for the full year 2024 will be around 0.65 percent. Assuming no significant macroeconomic changes in the coming years, we expect Alior Bank's cost of risk to be 0.8 percent," the bank stated in the presentation.
Previously, the bank expected the cost of risk in 2024 to be below 1 percent.
The cost of risk ratio in the second quarter of 2024 was 0.23 percent, down 0.71 points from the second quarter of 2023. The cost of risk in the first half of 2024 was 0.46 percent.
The bank reported that non-recurring events in the first half of 2024 included a significant gain from non-performing portfolio (NPL) sales, the positive impact of the completion of restructuring/recovery actions for several important clients in the business client segment.
The cost of risk without these one-off events would have been 0.8 percent in the first half of 2024.
