Allegro respects agreements, is not in dispute with any of its partners, says CEO

When asked by journalists about the case brought by Amsterdam-listed parcel locker operator InPost against Allegro before the arbitration court, Allegro's CEO replied: "Firstly, we respect all agreements, and secondly, we implement them. This applies to all companies; we treat every partner or supplier in the same way. We do not believe that we are in any kind of business dispute with anyone."

"We invite new logistics service providers so that consumers have more choice. We have been developing our Allegro Delivery programme for over a year, where we already have DHL and Orlen Paczka. We are also open to other companies," he added, pointing out that Allegto has already invited all the major players and will continue to integrate them in order to improve the shopping experience.

CEO Kusmierz pointed out that the company's own network of machines is an infrastructure that complements what is already on the market.

"We are developing our own infrastructure, but we are also inviting new logistics players to join the Allegro Delivery programme," he said.

"This programme is absolutely not aimed at anyone, at any entity," he added.

A few days ago, InPost's CEO Rafal Brzoska announced that InPost had referred the case against Allegro to an arbitration court. The owner of the parcel locker network imposed a fine of PLN 98.7 million (EUR 23.2 mln) on Poland's largest e-commerce platform for making it difficult for customers to choose their delivery method. Allegro considers the claims to be unfounded.

When asked on Friday about market trends, the CEO of Allegro replied: "We are quite optimistic about the market, we will present our financial results in a few days. I think they will be welcomed by many people."

"The market is in good shape. Of course, customers are always looking for the best options. We have been striving to be the first choice for 25 years in order to meet these expectations," he added.
