Enea SAAzoty chemicals to resume production at Polimery Police plant on June 12-15
Polimery Police plant owned by Azoty Polyolefins, listed chemicals group Azoty's unit, is expected to resume production between June 12 and 15, following a major disruption in the electricity supply on Monday, Grupa Azoty announced in an email.
"On Monday, at around 14:20 local time, there was a major disruption in the supply of electricity from the external grid. As a result of the disruption, the PDH installation of the Polimery Police project was shut down, and consequently, the polypropylene production installation was also shut down. All safety systems functioned properly, and the installations were safely shut down," Azoty wrote in the email.
"Work is underway to restore the plant's operations. Production is expected to resume between June 12 and 15," it added.
According to unofficial information, listed power utility Enea is the electricity supplier for Polimery Police. Enea's press office has not yet commented on the matter.
