Bogdanka coal to receive PLN 144.8 mln compensation for damages caused by water flooding

Listed coal mining group Bogdanka has received an information from listed insurance group PZU's mutual insurances unit TWU PZUW that it has made a decision to pay PLN 144.85 million (EUR 34.4 mln) of compensation for damage caused by groundwater flooding in February 2023. The compensation will positively affect Bogdanka's financial results of the first quarter of 2025.


Bogdanka reported on the damages through press releases and current report No. 8/2023 dated April 18, 2023.

"The management board considers the above information important, as the compensation received will positively affect the results of the first quarter of 2025," Bogdanka wrote in the press release.
