CORRECTION: Poland's banking sector nets PLN 16.5 bln by end-April 2025, up 14.38 pct y/y - c. bank
Poland's banking sector recorded a net profit of PLN 16.5 billion (EUR 3.9 bln) in the first four months of 2025, up by 14.38 percent year on year, Poland's central bank reported.

Polish lenders' net operating income after April totalled PLN 46.2 billion (EUR 10.9 bln), up 11.9 percent year on year.
Administrative expenses amounted to PLN 19.26 billion (EUR 4.5 bln), an increase of 12.27 percent year on year.
Write-offs (impairment or reversal of impairment on financial assets not measured at fair value with a valuation effect charged to the income statement) amounted to PLN 1.37 billion (EUR 322.4 mln), down 20.5 percent year on year.
