Debica tyre estimates 2024 net profit at PLN 77.7 mln

Listed tyre producer Debica, subsidiary of Goodyear, estimates net profit in the 2024 at PLN 77.7 million (EUR 18.6 mln), revenue at PLN 2.556 billion (EUR 612.5 mln), the group said in a market filling.


The financial results for 2024 were reported to have been impacted by reduced production capacity and lower selling prices realised in transactions with related parties during 2024.

The realised prices reflect the impact of the decrease in raw material costs in November and December 2023, which entered into the calculation of prices applied in the first quarter of 2024.

The recognition in other operating income of a fire damage advance received in the amount of PLN 151 million (EUR 36.2 mln), continuing costs incurred related to the fire that occurred in August 2023, including unused capacity and capacity rebuilding costs, which totalled PLN 108 million (EUR 25.9 mln) for 2024, and the restoration of full pre-fire capacity in the fourth quarter of 2024, have also impacted the financial results.

The company stipulated that the results presented are estimates and are subject to change.
