Enea SAEnea power plans 2025 CAPEX of PLN 7.94 bln
Listed power group Enea plans its capital expenditure in 2025 to reach PLN 7.94 billion (EUR 1.9 bln) against PLN 3.4 billion (EUR 793.9 mln) of expenditure completed in 2024, the company said in its annual report.
Key investments include PLN 2.72 billion (EUR 635.1 mln) in distribution, PLN 698 million (EUR 162.9 mln) in mining, and nearly PLN 4.3 billion (EUR 1 bln) in generation, with PLN 2.5 billion (EUR 583.8 mln) allocated to renewable energy sources (RES), including biomass.
"The investment plan for 2025 includes aspirations for new RES sources, including acquisitions," the company stated.
In 2024, Enea achieved revenues of PLN 32.975 billion (EUR 7.7 bln) (down 31.6 percent year-on-year) and EBITDA of PLN 6.806 billion (EUR 1.6 bln) (up 8.1 percent year-on-year).
The generation segment's EBITDA fell by PLN 48.3 million (EUR 11.3 mln) year-on-year to PLN 3.56 billion (EUR 831.3 mln), while mining EBITDA dropped by PLN 335.6 million (EUR 78.4 mln) to PLN 990.9 million (EUR 231.4 mln). Distribution EBITDA rose by PLN 462.3 million (EUR 107.9 mln) to PLN 2.284 billion (EUR 533.3 mln), and trading recorded an EBITDA loss of PLN 4.1 million (EUR 957k), improving by PLN 25.8 million (EUR 6 mln) year-on-year.
Cash flows from operating activities reached PLN 5.35 billion (EUR 1.2 bln) in 2024, up from PLN 2.25 billion (EUR 525.4 mln) in the previous year, with cash reserves at year-end totalling PLN 4.41 billion (EUR 1 bln).
