Energa SAEnerga power inks PLN 3.1 bln deal with general contractor for 2nd gas and steam unit in Grudziadz
CCGT Grudziadz, the subsidiary of Energa, listed power utility owned by Poland's largest energy concern Orlen, has concluded an approximately PLN 3.1 billion (EUR 729.74 mln) worth agreement with a consortium of Siemens Energy Global and Siemens Energy for the design and construction of a second gas and steam unit with a net capacity of approximately 560 MWe in Grudziadz, Energa announced in a press release.
The new investment will be located next to the combined cycle gas turbine plant currently under construction with the same capacity.
In July 2025, CCGT Grudziadz concluded a 17-year contract with the Transmission System Operator (OSI) under the capacity market with a capacity obligation for CCGT Grudziadz II of 525.224 MW, with the first year of supply falling in 2029.
Energa's subsidiary total expected revenue from this contract during its term may amount to approximately PLN 4.8 billion (EUR 1.1 bln).
