Mennica Polska expects strong performance, sustained demand for investment gold in 2025 (interview)

Poland's listed mint Mennica Polska anticipates a successful year across all business segments in 2025, with robust demand for investment gold, CEO Katarzyna Budnicka-Filipiuk told an interview with PAP Biznes. She highlighted the company's plans to expand its operations internationally and maintain growth in key areas.

"2025 has the potential to be an excellent year for us. We've secured contracts for production and supplies of coins for Poland's national bank NBP and foreign central banks. In the electronic payments segment, we continue our stable cooperation with existing partners," Budnicka-Filipiuk said.

"As part of our development activities, in the second half of the year, we will also start to recognise revenue from the transfer of ownership of residential units within the Bulwary Praskie project," she added.

The CEO noted that investment gold remains a strong market.

"Recent gold prices exceeded USD 3,000 per ounce. After a technical correction, we expect further growth, which is promising for investors seeking to diversify their portfolios," she said.

Budnicka-Filipiuk added that Mennica’s branded gold products accounted for over 70 percent of sales in 2024.

"Joining the London Bullion Market Association was a milestone, enhancing our global presence as a producer of gold and silver products," Budnicka-Filipiuk reflected on the company's achievements.

She also mentioned winning contracts with central banks in Africa as a significant success.

Looking ahead, Mennica Polska plans to strengthen its position abroad and expand its electronic payment systems, including potential projects like modernizing Warsaw’s ticketing system.
