PGE SAPGE power completes construction of 7 MW photovoltaic farm in Mazovian region
Listed power utility PGE's renewables unit, PGE Energia Odnawialna, has completed the 7 MW PV Pokrzywnica project in the Ostroleka district of Mazovia, PGE said in a press release. The total cost of the project is PLN 18.8 million (EUR 4.4 mln), and the preferential repayable loan granted amounts to almost PLN 16 million (EUR 3.8 mln).
The investment was co-financed by the Polish National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOSiGW) as part of the Energia Plus programme.
According to PGE, the new installation will produce approximately 7,034 MWh of energy per year, which will allow approximately 3,500 households to be supplied with green energy.
PGE Energia Odnawialna, the PGE capital group's subsidiary, owns 21 wind farms, 29 hydroelectric power plants, 4 pumped-storage power plants and 56 photovoltaic farms. The total installed capacity of all facilities is approximately 2,673 MW.
