Poland's road authority announces 10 tenders worth PLN 3.4 bln by far, excluding non-EU firms

Poland's road authority GDDKiA has announced 10 tenders worth PLN 3.4 billion (EUR 802.74 mln) within a year from the CJEU ruling on public procurement tenders, allowing to exclude entities from outside the EU, GDDKiA said in a statement on Friday.


"We have already announced 10 tenders taking into account the CJEU ruling of October 22, 2024. This is over 140 kilometres of roads worth more than PLN 3.4 billion," GDDKiA stated.

In October last year, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) issued a ruling on public procurement tenders announced within the EU. It stated that organisers of tenders in EU countries may exclude companies from outside the EU or impose different requirements on them than on other entities applying for a given contract.
