Poland's state bank guarantee fund 2024 results may lead to lowering contributions
The financial results of Poland's state bank guarantee fund BFG for the last year has made it possible to reduce contributions to the fund, the BFG wrote in the introduction to its report for 2024.
"In 2024, thanks to an effectively implemented investment strategy and appropriate financial management, the fund's financial result again exceeded PLN 1.3 billion. This profit will be divided proportionally between the BFG funds, thanks to which - in order to achieve the target levels of security - contributions to the fund may be lower," BFG stated.
In February, contributions to the BFG banking funds in 2025 were set at a total of PLN 2,706 million (EUR 634.3 mln).
Contributions to the guarantee fund amounted to PLN 893 million (EUR 209.3 mln), and to the bank resolution fund PLN 1,813 million (EUR 424.9 mln).
