Bank Pekao SAPolenergia renewables' subsidiaries ink max. PLN 200 mln loan agreements with Pekao lender
Listed renewables group Polenergia's subsidiaries, Amon and Talia, have signed loan agreements with listed lender Pekao for a total value of up to PLN 200 million (EUR 47.2 mln), Polenergia said in a press release. The vast majority of the funds will be transferred to Polenergia, with additional funds allocated to the development and implementation of the business strategy.
As reported, after concluding 10-year agreements with the listed power utility Tauron for the supply of energy (in the form of PPAs) with a total value of PLN 500 million (EUR 118.05 mln), both companies gained the opportunity to obtain financing on favourable terms.
"The conclusion of the settlement and the acquisition of long-term PPA agreements paved the way for refinancing existing projects on very favourable terms. The funds obtained in this way will be used, among other things, to develop new generation capacity. This example of refinancing perfectly matches the assumptions of our new strategy for 2025-2030," said Polenergia's CEO Adam Purwin, quoted in the press release.
"We see potential for further refinancing of other wind farms in Polenergia's portfolio. This will allow us to free up additional funds for development. The effective use of the capital accumulated in the company and the continuous optimisation of the financing structure are our priorities in the phase of Polenergia's dynamic development," added the group's CFO Piotr Sujecki.
