Enea SAPolish climate ministry estimates roughly Tauron's flood-related losses at PLN 100 mln
Listed power utility Tauron's losses incurred from infrastructure damage by floods are still being estimated, with the preliminary cautious estimates showing an amount of PLN 100 million (EUR 23.3 mln), deputy minister of climate and environment Urszula Zielinska told a parliamentary committee. She added that this estimate is subject to change.
"When it comes to the distribution network, the damage is still being estimated, mainly in Tauron group's infrastructure, but also in the network resources of Enea Operator," Zielinska said.
She added that for now there are only preliminary estimates of those losses available.
"We have some very cautious estimates of Tauron's losses, which are still being estimated. At the moment they are very cautiously estimated at PLN 100 million and are subject to change, as works are still underway and some areas are still flooded," she added.
The deputy minister added that the preliminary estimates of Enea losses are showing an amount of tens of thousands Polish zlotys of material losses.
Enea Operator's representative present at the committee meeting said that the identified losses are connected with liquidating pointed damage of PLN 40,000 (EUR 9,300) and these resulting from current losses connected with replacing pole posts have by far amounted to PLN 30,000 (EUR 6,975).
