Tauron power to keep seeking acquisition options in RES market

Listed power utility Tauron will be looking to acquire RES projects at various stages of development, group's representatives told a press conference.

"We are active in the RES market; we are mainly talking about wind farms at various stages. We have expanded our scope of exploration a little bit after we have developed some developer competences. Now we are also open to buying out projects at an earlier stage than full construction readiness," Tauron's deputy CEO Michal Orlowski said.

"We are in talks with a number of entities regarding both existing assets and assets fully ready for construction, as well as assets at earlier stages or portfolios in development. However, we do not hide the fact that there are no more projects of the size we acquired last year, i.e. 190 MW, more strongly developed in Poland. As a result, it is unlikely that we will add a portfolio at this stage of advancement in as many MW as we did last year," he added.

As the deputy CEO noted, the supply of RES projects in Poland is limited.
