"The European Commission has approved the revised version of the European Funds for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) programme. This means, among other things, the release of PLN 3.4 billion of the so-called flexibility amount, which could not be used before the EC's decision," according to the website dedicated to EU funds.
It was added that this amount will be allocated, among other things, to new activities, including support for companies, foster families and people experiencing homelessness.
It was emphasised that the changes to the FERS programme are intended to help respond to demographic challenges related to digital progress and the effects of the war in Ukraine.
