No further HORECA program payments without control, says dev. funds minister
A decision has been made that no payments will be made until each individual contract under the HORECA programme has been checked, the minister of development funds and regional policy Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz told at a briefing. She added that PLN 110 million (EUR 25.8 mln) has been paid out to beneficiaries so far, with the programme budget amounting to PLN 1.2 billion (EUR 281.5 mln).
"I have also decided that no funds will be disbursed until each individual agreement has been checked," she added.
She announced that so far, PLN 110 million (EUR 25.8 mln) has been paid out to beneficiaries under the national recovery plan KPO-funded programme for the HORECA sector, with a programme budget of PLN 1.2 billion (EUR 281.5 mln). The programme operates on the basis of project cost reimbursement rather than grant advances.
"So the vast majority of the funds have not yet been paid out. We have suspended the rest, and the rest will be paid as the audit progresses, once the contract has been audited - then the payment will be made," she noted.
She said that around 3,000 contracts had been signed under this programme, while 824,000 contracts had been signed under the entire national recovery plan KPO.
