Poland's GDP growth close to potential in 2027, slowing down in subsequent years - MinFin
In 2027, Poland's GDP growth will be close to potential at 3.0 percent, and in the in the following years the growth will be slowed by, among other things, the announced fiscal consolidation, Poland's Ministry of Finance assessed in the document 'Multi-year Macroeconomic Assumptions for 2025-2029'.
"Economic growth will continue to be supported by strong domestic demand, driven by the continued use of funds from the loan part of [Poland's national recovery plan] KPO, EU funds under the 2021-2027 financial perspective, as well as continued deliveries of military equipment," the finance ministry stated.
"As currently understood, a significant part of these impulses will expire in 2028-2029, contributing to a slowdown in economic growth in the final years of the forecast horizon," it added.
As a result, GDP growth will slow down to 2.7 percent in 2028 and to 2.6 percent in 2029.
"The path of economic growth will also be affected by the planned fiscal consolidation," Poland's Ministry of Finance pointed out.
