Poland's pension plans PPK assets value exceeds PLN 40 bln
The value of assets accumulated in Poland's pension plans PPK exceeded a record level of PLN 40 billion (EUR 9.34 bln), according to the Polish Development Fund PFR's website. It added that in less than 8 months of this year, this value increased by PLN 10 billion (EUR 2.34 bln), and the number of PPK participants by 250,000.
"On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the value of assets accumulated in Poland's pension plans PPK exceeded a record level of PLN 40 billion," the PFR wrote on its website.
"This proves that the programme has become a permanent and self-sustaining mechanism for long-term saving, benefiting both participants and the economy as a whole," it added.
The fund indicated that at the end of 2024, PLN 30.24 billion (EUR 7.06 bln) was accumulated in PPK.
"In less than eight months, this value increased by PLN 10 billion, thanks to systematic contributions, a growing number of participants, a favourable economic situation and effective management of financial institutions," the PFR wrote.
"The number of programme participants increased during this period from 3.69 million to 3.94 million people – an increase of 250,000 new savers," it added.
Recently, PFR reported that the annual growth rate of PPK assets since December 2024 has remained at around 40 percent, and the value of assets increased to PLN 39.7 billion (EUR 9.27 mln) at the end of July this year.
