Polish government plans two training ships, costing PLN 796.9 mln from budget and PLN 178.8 mln debt
The Polish government plans to build two training ships at a cost of PLN 796.9 million (EUR 186.8 mln) from the budget and PLN 178.8 million (EUR 41.9 mln) from debt issuance, according to the government's list of works.
The creators of the program, this is the Ministry of Infrastructure, say that the newly built ships will be equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, automation, and the latest navigation systems.
The program will be implemented between 2025 and 2029 and will be financed from the state budget in the total amount of PLN 796,917,000 (EUR 186,797.34) and from the sale of treasury securities in the total amount of PLN 178,800,000 or EUR 41,910.72 (nominal value PLN 198,000,000 or EUR 46,411.20).
As stated, due to the specific nature of the industry, at the stage of signing the contract with the shipyard implementing the project, it will be necessary to transfer funds in the form of an advance payment amounting to 20 percent of the contract value.
