UPDATE: Poland's Cabinet adopts second revision of national recovery plan KPO

Poland's Council of Ministers has adopted the second revision of the national recovery plan KPO, Poland's development funds and regional policy minister Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz wrote on X.

"The second revision of the national recovery plan KPO has received the green light from the government. The aim: to include in the KPO a package of pro-employee reforms - the strengthening of the State Labour Inspection (PIP) and a more favourable calculation of seniority for people employed otherwise than under an employment contract," Pelczynska-Nalecz wrote.

"And also: removing the compulsion to make all contracts of mandate and specific work subject to social security contributions and redirecting an additional PLN 1 billion to the Energy Support Fund. Now it is time to negotiate with the Commission. The first meeting is tomorrow," she added.

In the press release, Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) mentioned among the most important solutions the increase of the Energy Support Fund budget by almost PLN 1 billion (EUR 237.7 mln).

As part of the revision, Poland also wants to abandon the reform of the levy on civil law contracts.

"The resolution adopted by the government gives a mandate to the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy to conduct official negotiations with the European Commission. A formal request for the revision of the national recovery plan will be sent to the EC before January 31," MFiPR stressed.
