Poland's Job Barometer down by 0.1 pt in May to 257.8 - BIEC researcher
Poland's Job Barometer index, indicating changes in the number of jobs offers published online, slightly decreased in May by 0.1 points to 257.8 points, the economic researcher BIEC and Department of Macroeconomics at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow reported.
The authors of the report state that after the slowdown in declines at the end of 2023, the number of job offers announced remains largely unchanged.
"Compared to previous years, the upward trend in demand for manual workers and in the construction industry continues. The situation is relatively good in tourism, education and healthcare," wrote the report.
"In recent months, we have seen a slight improvement in professions requiring education in science or engineering, including IT professions," it added.
The situation in the social sciences and law professions has remained unchanged for a year and a half.
After a slight correction, the number of job offers in services remains largely unchanged.
