UPDATE: Polish factory in Ukraine hit by Russian drones, says foreign affairs minister
Russian drones struck the factory belonging to the Polish group Barlinek in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, causing injuries, Poland's foreign affairs minister Radoslaw Sikorski wrote on X.
"Russian drones struck the Barlinek Group factory in Vinnytsia. The plant manager told me a moment ago that it was a deliberate attack from three directions. There are injuries, including two people with severe burns," Sikorski wrote.
He added that Ukrainian services and the Polish consulate are cooperating regarding the attack.
The Polish factory that was hit by Russian drones belongs to the Barlinek - the Polish manufacturer of wooden floors with a production capacity of over 12 million square metres per year.
The company exports its products to 75 countries, including the United States, Canada, European countries and Asia. Barlinek has factories in Poland, Ukraine and Romania, as well as offices in Germany and the United States. The company is based in Kielce and is owned by Polish billionaire Michal Solowow.
