Energa power estimates Q2 net profit at PLN 402 mln

Power utility Energa Group estimates net profit in the second quarter of 2024 at PLN 402 million (EUR 93 mln), compared to a PLN 147 million (EUR 34 mln) loss a year earlier, Energa said in a market filing. EBITDA is estimated at PLN 1.03 billion (EUR 238.2 mln) compared to PLN 276 million (EUR 63.8 mln) a year earlier.


As stated, the EBITDA result in the second quarter was mainly influenced by the results of the Distribution business line at PLN 656 million (EUR 151.7 mln).

In Generation, the EBITDA result amounted to PLN 70 million (EUR 16.2 mln), while the Sales business line generated PLN 279 million (EUR 64.5 mln).

Capital expenditure in the second quarter of 2024 is estimated at PLN 1.16 billion (EUR 268.3 mln), up from PLN 1.02 billion (EUR 235.9 mln) a year ago.

Energa estimates gross electricity generation at 586 GWh (vs. 731 GWh in Q2 2023), electricity distribution at 5,371 GWh (vs. 5,436 GWh a year ago), and retail electricity sales at 3,816 GWh (vs. 3,999 GWh a year ago).
