The unit of listed Poland's largest private energy group Polenergia, Polenergia eMobility, wants to have around 100 fast-charging stations for electric cars in Warsaw by the end of 2024, member of Polenergia's management board Piotr Maciolek told PAP Biznes. The group is on the eve of creating a new strategy.
"By the end of the year, we want there to be about 100 such stations [fast charging stations - PAP ed.], this is our current plan for 2024 (...)," Maciolek told an interview with PAP Biznes at the official opening of the electromobility green zone in Warsaw.
"In total, as of today, by launching these eight charging points, we have probably already exceeded 50, and we need to launch another 50 by the end of the year," he added.
The member of Polenergia's management board pointed out that the group is on the eve of creating a new strategy.
"In this strategy, we will define our 'appetite' for what business segments we want to develop in and what investment plans we will have," Maciolek said.
On Tuesday, Polenergia eMobility launched a new hub of fast charging stations in Warsaw, at the Blue City shopping mall. As reported, the new investment is a response to the rapidly growing number of electric cars.
In Warsaw, Polenergia has 22 charging stations with a total capacity of over 2 MW.
